About:Longmen Grottoes

How long do people spend at Longmen Grottoes?

I plan on going there from Xi'an by bullet train, if it takes around half day then any recommended place or places that I can visit in Luoyang? and the last train departs from LY to Xi'an at what time?

According to others’ experience, you are suggested to visit the Grottoes for 3-4 hours. Besides, you can also take bus 81 from the Grottoes to Museum of Zhou Horse& Chariot Pits, and then take bus 56 to White Horse Temple. Finally, take bus 56 and transfer to bus 77 at Keda Er fuyuan, get off at LY Museum.

The last bullet train from LY Longmen to Xian leaves at 21:54, which takes about 1h 20 minutes and CNY174.5 for a second class seat, CNY279.5 for a first one. The last normal train from LY to Xian leaves at 23:47, which takes about 5 hours and CNY108.5 for a hard sleeper, CNY176 for a soft sleeper, CNY54.5 for a hard seat.
