About:China Visa Exemption

144 hours free transit or not???

Hello:

I am travelling from JFK to PVG. I want to exit the airport and go to a hotel. The next day I will have a flight from PVG to BKK. I am a US citizen. Can I apply for the 144 hours free transit or what options do I have?

Yes, you can apply for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. You can leave the airport and go to a hotel.
