meeting my boyfriends parents.

Question

I am flying to China to meet my boyfriend's whole family for Chinese new year. I want to impress them by doing every thing i can the correct traditional way. How many gifts is appropriate for such an occasion? Should it be just one object or a few? I was thinking some stuff from bath and body works for mom. No idea what to get the dad. I'm not comfortable buying him alcohol for personal reasons.  Any suggestions or helpful information is appreciated.

You can prepare a gift for every person of his family. But the gifts don't need to be just one object.Generally speaking, it will be better bring gifts for men as well. Knitting scarfs are good things for women. As for men, you may give them tea, or ties. In addition, some biscuits and chocolates are also welcomed. Hope helpful!
