Do I need a visa for 48 hour stay in Shanghai

Hi, I am from Australia,I want to spend 48 hours in Shanghai before boarding a cruise ship to Japan and elsewhere.

Henry, you can use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. No visa will be required for that.
