What currency is used in Bhutan?

What currency is used in Bhutan? I read that we should bring Indian currency, 50 and 100 INR bills only. However, I understand that India changed its currency in January, and 50 and 100 INR bills are no longer used in India. So, what currency should we bring for use in Bhutan?

You do not have to bring INR. You can bring US dollars and exchange money in Bank of Bhutan. Money exchange is not a problem and even you can use credit card in some retail shops and hotels.
