Passport 5 months remaining

I need to make a short trip to Shanghai from Hong Kong (4 days). I have a valid multiple entry visa, but my Canadian passport expires in 5 months. Will I experience any trouble because it's less than the 6 month requirement?
My trip is sept 10-14 2017 and my passport expires January 10 2018. Thanks
