72 hour free transit in Xi'an then onto Beijing

We are travelling from Australia to Tel Aviv, Hainan airlines flies first to Xi'an then onto Beijing where there is a stopover of 26 hours. Are we eligible for the free transit or do we need a tourist L?

Leon, you won’t qualify for the 72 hour free transit because the 72 hour policy only allows the traveler to transit in one Chinese city. You should apply for a tourist L type for that in advance.
