L-type to Z-type in China

Dear,

My employer wants me to apply for L-type first and then later convert to Work Z.

I want to know the maximum duration of stay i.e. how long can I stay in China if I enter using L-type.

Also, How long does it take to get the L-type. What are the documents I need to apply for L-type from my side and my employer?

Best regards,
Prashant Jain

Based on what I know, the duration of stay is usually 30 days, and you can stay in mainland China for 30 days at most.
You need to provide a filled-out application form affixed with a passport-style photo, your passport and its photocopy, invitation letter or round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. It usually takes four working days for the processing of L type.
