Ox Horn to Mutianyu Blocked

We plan to stay overnight at xizhazi village and then get to mutianyu. I read that authorities have built blockages on that route. Of course you could just climb over the blockage but I hope there is Policemen waiting on the Mutianyu side. Do you have more information on that? Also that route should be easily doable in one day right?
