About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

transit in Guangzhou airport with two different international flight and claim baggage.

please advise, I am Saudi, will arrive in the airport with Saudia airlines and continue to Seoul (ICN) (3 hrs layover in airport) but since it is two different flight the luggage will not be transferred automatically to final destination. if I need to claim the luggage and recheck in with china southern airlines. do I need a VISA?
does china southern airline has a counter in the transit area so I can get the boarding pass from them?
I have seen in some airports that when I check-in in the transfer desk they transfer my luggage without interference from me.

If you book the through ticket and have printed out both boarding passes at the departing place, it is no need to reclaim the baggage at CAN. Just show the luggage tag receipt to the staff at the transfer desk. Then they will help you to handle the luggage.

And as for your case, a transit visa shall be needed. You should apply for that in advance.
