HKSAR Passport Photo Requirements

I was wondering if i need to put my hair behind my ears for the hk passport photo since I have long hair? In the requirements, they did not state if specifically ears had to be shown so I just want to make sure

You’d better put your hair behind ears to avoid hair across eyes or eyebrows.
