About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Would I be eligible to use the 144 hour visa to go from the UK -stop at AMS - Guangdong?

then return from Guangdong - stop at AMS - UK?

So you will only stopover in AMS for both ways? Then you don't qualify for the policy, because it regulates that your departing place and destination should be different.
