About:China Tourist Visa

Is a double entry visa required on NZ passports?

My husband and I work and live in China. My adult children are visiting us in Shanghai China for 15 days before we all travel to Thailand on holiday for an additional week. We then come back to Shanghai overnight before they travel home from Shanghai to Auckland.

You children can apply for a single entry L type for that because you can enjoy 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai for the trip of Thailand-Shanghai(24 hr)-Auckland. No need to worry!
