How can re-entry to China after the deadline of application for extension?

my friend's China visa will be expired on 20 Sept but he forgot to renew it before the deadline. So means he is not allowed to re-entry to China. How can he entry to China again? He has a business in china with his partner and now he has less than 1 month time in China.

If so, your friend should apply for a new business M type to re-enter China, and the required procedures and documents and application form are the same as the previous application.
