Visit Visa to China for a short visit

Hi, I have planned to visit Guangzhou for a short visit. Flight booking and hotel reservation done already. My company has given me their letter for applying visit one stating my salary and position as well. Do I still need an invitation letter from Chinese citizen or a company to visit as a tourist.
