company does not have alien work permit

Hi,The company that hiring me, recently found that they dont have alien working permit because this was the first time they will hire foreigner.How many working days for them to have alien working permit?I only have 8 days left on my visa to exit china.I already gave them all my required documents, but the problem is they have to apply for alien work permit first. Last question, if ever I will go home in my country what documents can I get to my employer in order for me to apply for China Z type?Thank you!

Hi, it usually needs 10 working days to issue the work permit. If you make the application from your home country, you should prepare those documents including the passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form, 2 recently-taken passport-style photos, and alien work permit and the copy, as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary.
