Hello I'm from Pakistan I got my residence permit refused by exit entrance department due to the company taxation problems I want to know can I transfer my stay visa to X type without leaving china

Ali, if you hold a work Z type at present, you can try to convert your current Z type to the X type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, there is no need to leave China. Good luck!
