About:China Visa

Transit G type Needed for traveller having 2 connecting flights at Chinese territory.

I'm French working in Vietnam. I will go for mission to Dushanbe, Tajikistan by transit at Guangzhou and Urumqi (within 24 hours). Should I apply for a chinese transit G type?

Hi, if your total layover time in Urumqi is no more than 2 hours, you are eligible for 24 hr direct transit. No need to apply for a transit G type for that.

Thanks for your answer. In fact, I took this schedule many times without demanding entry permit but China Southern Airlines has recently warned me to do it because there are a lot of travelers who were be refused to enter the Chinese territory due to lack of Chinese transit . I have asked the Embassy of China in Vietnam today, they said that it would be better to demand a entry permit during this sensible period.
