HKIA to Zhuhai with very tight connection

My flight arrives 55 minutes before the last 2010. I have no check baggage and I read that I have a minimum of 30 minutes to connect. If I miss the ferry preferably I would like to stay at the terminal to take the first ferry the next day. Is this possible or must I exit to the public area and come back into post-security again the next day? Thank you.
