About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Does transit visa for less than 24 hours apply to all countries passport holder?

And does it apply to any transports such as Flight and Cruise?
Will I be able to get out for sightseeing?

The 24-hour direct transit is available for Australia and Indonesia passport holders holding onward air, cruise or train ticket. You are able to get out for sightseeing. Don't worry!

Thank you Hassan. I was very frustrated with the CVASC because they couldn't give me any answer. They even referred me to call Shanghai Airport. Even the Embassy wouldn't care less.

Due to stress and drama, I have just applied for one to avoid. I have learned my lesson, no way I am going to CHINA ever again.
