About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Is the Q1 type mandatory when applying in China? Or can i just apply for the resident visa?

Living in China and recently married to a local, do I need to apply for this 30 days Q1 type before applying for the resident permit (family reunion)? Thank you.

Yes, you need to apply for a Q1 type first and then you can apply for a temporary residence permit.
