About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

I'm currently on L type

Hi I'm currently staying in China with L type. My family lives in China and I have entered China with S2 type, but since it is much more complicated process with the invitation letter and such, I got 2 entries L type to come to China. I am planning to have a quick trip to Phuket, Thailand, but since I am coming back to China and will stay here for 2 days before I fly back to the US, I was wondering if there is any other way to enter China besides reissuing L type to enter here.

Angela, if you enter a city which carries out the 72 hour/144 hour free transit policy, you may be able to use the free transit. In this case, you don’t need to apply for an L type. May I know which city you will go to?

I will be visiting Ningbo in Zhejiang area! Is ningbo applicable for the free transit policy? If not, is there anyway that I can issue Chinese visa within Ningbo?

You are able to use the free transit in Ningbo, and you don’t need to apply for an L type.
