Hi, I wish to know if it's possible for foreigners in China to travel by bullet train if not carrying a passport.Thanks

Usually, the origin passport is necessary and you have to buy tickets with it. I also heard the Temporary Residential Permit and other paper proof given by the embassy or consulate will work if you have. You may try it.
