Hi, Im traveling from Austria to Philippines and Im holding an ordinary Philippine passport but I do have valid schengen visa. I have a layover in Beijing for 15 hours. Am I eligible for this visa exempt 24 hours? And can I go out of the airport for this layover too?

Jane, yes, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the immigration office inside Beijing airport.
