Hi, I travel from USA to Russia.

I am planning to have a 48 hrs stopover in Guangzhou. My flight from GZ goes not to Russia directly, but to Harbin, and there I have to take another flight to Russia after two hours at the airport. Would it be OK for 72 hour free transit? The flight from GZ to Harbin is an internal flight.

According to your situation, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour visa free policy, so you may apply for a transit visa in advance.
