Can I take US$5,000. and CNY 20,000. at the same time when I enter China?

According to the regulations, it is allowed to take USD5,000 or the equal amount of other foreign currency, or CNY20,000 into China one time. If you really need to take such a large amount, you need to declare at the customs when entering China; meanwhile, you need to show the Foreign Currency Holding Certificate which should be applied in advance.1
