About:China Customs Declaration

My husband wants to go to Shanghai. He is bringing his go pro, digital camera, macbook, and his PS4.

Which items should he declare? If he does declare them, about how much would it be for each? Would it be easier to ship one or two items over separately?

Yes, your husband need to declare them all. The tax rate of camera and go pro is 20% and that of laptop and PS4 is 10%.
It's no need to ship them separately because international express is not safe enough for electronic products.
