south east coast (taitung, kenting)peghu islands in august

Question

Hi, i m  planning a trip to Taiwan in august.Heading first to SouthEast coast from Hualien to Taitung and to Kenting. Apart from typhoon, was wondering how would be the weather? should i expect most of the days being cloudy all day, or maybe being quite sunny with only a few hours of thundestorm?Then i am thinking to go to Penghu Islands. What should i expect there? same question as above..thank you so much everyone!! :)

It is reported to be rainy in Taitung and Kenting in the coming Aug. so the cloudy days may not happen a lot. Although the frequent ands dense rainfall, it will be hot. I suggest you prepare enough summer clothing and rainy gear. As for Penghu Islands, there may be several sunny days in the beginning of Aug. , but rainy days still will be the majority.As it willl be during the typhoon season, it is highly suggested to check the latest weather forecase in advance before leaving.
