About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Hello, I am from Dar es salaam, Tanzania, East Africa

Hello, I am from East Africa. I want to know that the duration for tourist L type for Dar es Salaam is for how many months? I want to study in China in Yili, so if I travel to China with tourist L type and search for the college in China and apply for student X type when I am already in China, will I get a student X type if I apply from China? Is it necessary to apply for student X type from my country Tanzania or I can apply for it when I am already in China? Will the college help me? What are the laws and procedures?

Usually, the duration of stay for L type is 30 days. You can try to convert your L type into a student X type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, you don't need to leave China.
