About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

2 stops, one visa?

I am looking to use a 72 hour free transit when I arrive in Beijing from Taipei, but my flight lands in Xiamen first, then I transfer on a domestic flight to Beijing 8 hours later. If I do not leave the airport, can I start my entry permit in Beijing rather than Xiamen? My onward flight out of China from Beijing is about 48 hours later.

Kind Regards

You are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing because of your layover in Xiamen.
