How to get to Wangfujing ?

Hi there. We land at 5am but by the time we get our bags and get setup with a SIM card for our phones we will be ready to leave the airport about 7am. What's the best way to get from airport to Wangfujing please? My hotel tells me my only option is a taxi but I know that can't be correct. Many thanks, Adele

Well, the direct shuttle bus will not work until 09:00, so you are suggested to take the airport shuttle bus line 3 to Chaoyangmen Stop first. This bus works from 07:00 to 0:00 and the ticket fare is CNY25/person. Upon arrival, you are just about 3.5 kilometers from the Wangfujing Street. You may take a taxi to the destination directly at a cost of around CNY15-20.

Hi Tom. Many thanks for your response. Very much appreciated. Is Donzhimen not closer to Wangfujing? And could we get an airport shuttle bus to that station instead thus bringing us even closer to our destination? Many thanks for your help, Adele

Comparing with Dongzhimen Stop, Chaoyangmen is much closer to Wangfujing Street.
Besides, you can also take the Airport Express to Dongzhimen Station. This express railway works from 06:20 at T2 and 06:35 at T3. The ticket fare is CNY25/person. Afterwards, you may transfer metro line 2 to Jianguomen Station. Later, please catch the metro line 1 to Wangfujing Station, Exit A. When you get out of the station, you may walk about 50 meters westwards to Wangfujing Street.
