About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Traveling asia!

Hi,
I'm a British citizen and im looking to visit china over the Christmas period. I leave for my travels (South East Asia) on the 1st August so I won't be in the UK within the 3 month period that you can apply. I also don't have any flights or hotels booked yet.

Is there anyway I can get my visa in advance or while abroad?

Hi, if you can provide an invitation letter from China, the flights or hotels arrangement is not required then. You can apply for a 2-year visa which costs the same as single-entry one. You can enter and exit China for multiple times within 2 years after you get it. That is preferable.
Or you can try to make the application from other South East Asia countries.

Thank you, I spoke to someone at the embassy and they said they need my flights hotels ect for everywhere from when I leave the uk up until when I leave China. I'm don't have this yet as I was hoping to kind of just go with the flow when in South East and didn't want to book everything. That's over 6 months worth of hotels and flights!

I think I'm going to attempt to get a visa while out there. I have been in contact with the different embassys. Thanks for your help.
