About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

I am a srilankan passport holder living in Melbourne Australia

and need to apply for a transit visa to Hong Kong. Do I need to make an appointment to visit the consulate on toorak rd or can I walk in during 8.30-12? Also I have read that I can pay for a rush service to come back to me within 2-3 business days is this correct?

Shammara, you don't have to make an appointment from the consulate in Melbourne. You can go there directly at 9:00-12:00 on working days, and you can pay for a rush service if your application won't be transferred to HK immigration department.

Thankyou. So it's definitely consulate general in Melbourne, not the embassy?
