About:Xiamen Transportation

We would like to visit the Yangtze, but will have only one day/night.

We do not have train tickets yet, but we leave Beijing Aug. 28 and have to be in the Shanghai airport the evening of the 29th. If possible, we would also like to see Changzhou, if only briefly, so taking the train to Changzhou and going by boat from near there to near Shanghai would be ideal. There are 8 of us. We are not looking for something fancy, a local fisherman's boat would be great! Is there any possibility you know of?

I am sorry that the visit to Yangtze River in Changzhou may not be achieved. As I heard, many factories are launched there and you may be unable to find fisherman's boat.

Well, I suggest you go to Suzhou instead, which is not far from Shanghai. The Grand Canal may draw your attention and boats are easily to taken on your own.
