About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

My 11year old Us born son and I are traveling to China on a group trip with families from his school

Does he have to be present when I submit our applications for the visa? He's away with his grandmother for the next couple of weeks. We're scheduled to leave for China on Aug 1st. And I have photos, passport, and all required documents for him.

Kelly, your son doesn't need to be present for the application, and you can do that on behalf of him.
