Can we use the 72-hour free visa?

Can we use it for our stay in Beijing? We are people from the Netherlands and this will be our route:
Amsterdam - Hongkong (flight)
Hongkong - Beijing (flight)
Beijing - Amsterdam (flight)

Nikki, yes, you can use it in Beijing if you transit there for not more than 72 hours.
