About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Going from Denmark to Beijing (10 hour layover) and the from Beijing to Manila, PH.

Can I use 72hour free visa and where do I apply?

Charles, you will qualify for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. If you don’t leave the airport, you can just stay at the transit zone.
If you want to leave the airport, you should go to the immigration office inside Beijing airport to apply for a free temporary stay permit.

Can i apply from home? Thus save time in China... we wanna Make a short run to the forbidden City and Mao :) maybe - if we have time - swing by the wall

No, you cannot apply form home, and it won’t take much time if there is no long queue.
