About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I have just asked a question about visa requirements for entering china from Hong Kong

and back to Hong Kong to depart to Europe. I will be entering mainland china by rail or road. does this effect the requirements? I will be in china for less than 72 hours.

Pandora, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit in mainland China because HK-China-HK is not a transit at all.
