About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I will be traveling out of the united states for more than 90 days prior to entrance to china

how do i obtain a visa is I am not physically in the USA less than 90 days prior to chinese entry

That's not a problem if you are an American since visas issued to Americans are valid for 10 years.
