How do I get from Guangzhou International Airport to Guilin?

I am arriving in Oct. and would like to go direct from Guangzhou International Airport (landing at 10am Oct. 18).

1) Can you provide detailed directions and timings?
2) Can you recommend a good hotel (with swimming pool) in GL?

Thank you !

1. Direct plane is the way, but there is only one flight leaving at 10:35 on October 18th and you cannot catch it after your former flight.
2. In this case, you are advised to take metro line 3 from Airport South Station to Jiahewanggang Station and transfer metro line 2 to Guangzhou South Railway Station first. Then you may catch a high speed train from Guangzhou South Railway Station. There are many trains in one day working from 07:06 to 08:50. The duration is around 2.5-3 hours.
3. Shangri-La Hotel located at no.111, Huancheng North 2nd Road, Qixing District is equipped with the swimming pool. You may take this hotel into consideration.
