About:Embassy & Consulates of Switzerland in China

hi me and my wife travelling from Auckland, new Zealand to Amsterdam

and stopping in Guangzhou for 14 hours to connect on next flight. we are travelling on Indian passport, so i know we are not eligible for 72 hours free transit visa, but because we are staying less than 24 hours in Guangzhou, can we leave airport and have a look around and come back for next flight?

thanks

Likhil, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou. You can leave the airport as long as you apply for a temporary stay permit after arriving at the airport.
