R.O.C. Taiwan transit through guanzhou

Does my Taiwanese husband need a visa to land in China?

He'll need to apply for a Taiwan Compatriot Permit prior to travelling. The 24-hour visa -free transit does not apply to Taiwanese passport holders because his passport is not recognized as a valid travel document by the Chinese Government.
