Hi there, If I was to find work in China whilst visiting as a tourist

what would be the visa process. Would I need to return to Australia or can it be done from China.

Hi, you can try to convert your L type into a work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, you don't need to leave China.
