About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Are my husband and i eligible if staying in Beijing less than 24hours?

My husband and i would like to travel from the US to Beijing. I work for an airline therefore it would be standby in both directions, from the US and back to the US from Beijing. As a standby, we do not have "confirmed" return tickets. We would only be staying less than 24 hours. Do we qualify for the 72 hour free transit visa?

No. First, the visa-free transit is applicable to those with confirmed tickets only. Second, US-China-US is not transit at all.
