Round trip from SF to Delhi via Guangzhou

Hi, if I book a round trip ticket to Delhi from San Francisco with Gaungzhou layover on both way, is it possible to get 24 hours visas on both ways? It'll be within 10 days. Can I also go outside Guangzhou such as to Dongguan or Foshan? I am thinking of visiting Guangzhou on my way to Delhi and visit nearby cities again on my way back to SF.
