About:China Visa Exemption

Hello, I am from New Zealand and will be flying from Kathmandu to Shanghai on the 7th July.

Then Shanghai to Auckland on the 13th July.

Initially, I was confident I could get the 144-hour transit visa in Shanghai until I discovered an 8-hour stopover in Kunming (from Kathmandu to Shanghai) which complicates things.

In sum, I have a flight in to and out of China (both from Shanghai), will be spending less than 144 hours there but have an 8 hour stopover in Kunming that requires a visa of some sort, before arriving in shanghai.

What is my best option now? Is there a 24 hour visa I can obtain for Kunming which then allows me to use the 144 hour visa in Shanghai?

Thanks for your time
Jeff

Hi, you need to apply for a visa for that beforehand.
