Hi :)I'm going around china for a few weeks very soon, and will be arriving into chengdu station at 13:30 on the 3rd July 2017. Will I have enough time to get to the mountain, climb up the rear side and get back to CD on the train. Alternatively, I could climb it on the morning I leave (5th July 2017) as my train departs CD at 17:00. I cant find anyway how frequent the buses and trains are, will I have a problem making it to and from the mountain within these time limits?Thank youSam

From Chengdu Railway Station, you can take a train to Qingchengshan Station directly. It departs at 06:42 with the duration of 50 minutes. From Qingchengshan, you may take a train to Xipu Station with duration of about 30 minutes. Upon arrival, you can take metro line 2 to Tianfu Square and transfer metro line 1 to North Railway Station, Exit D. Then you may walk about 400 meters to Chengdu Railway Station. This metro trip will take around 1 hour. Therefore, you can visit the mountain within the limited hours.

Hi Sara,Can you advise where you saw the 06:42 train from CD City and what the train number is? Is it a high-speed train or a normal train? I can't find the timetable for it, the only time I found from CD Railway to Qingchengshan Station via HST is at 06:02, train #C6101. Am planning to go to the Dujiangyan Panda centre and need to reach there by 08:30. Thank you.

Sorry to tell you that I didn’t find the train, too. The only train I know is available is the one leaves at 6:02. It’s a high speed train.
