About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

if i land in chengdu july 18th 6 am and leave july 21st at 4 pm..

does this work even tho its over 72 hours ..as i read it the 72 hours doesn't start until midnight the day of arrival

Mike, the 72 hours free transit policy starts from midnight the day of arrival in Chengdu, so if you fly to a third country or region different from the last one you come from after transiting in Chengdu, you can leave on July 21st at 4:00 pm, and you don't need to apply for a visa.
