my passport is expiring by November can I apply for a business visa?

Good day,
I want to apply for a business M type, my visit is schedule to last for a week(3rd - 10th of July) but my International Passport will expire in November hope it wont be a problem.

Do I need any letter from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a non-criminal conviction certificate from Nigeria Police for my appointment/interview?

I will appreciate if you can list out what I will be needing for my business M type to China.
