About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Taipai to Shanghai to LA with plane change on return trip in Taipai

Can I fly from Taipai to Shanghai, stay over for two days then return to US with a plane change layover in Taipai then direct to LA?

Tom, you cannot use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai because Taipai-Shanghai-Taipai is not a transit.
